Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Protected Left mobile application ("the App"), operated by [Your Legal Name / LLC] ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Protected Left is a navigation app that suggests driving routes that minimize or eliminate unprotected left turns. The App uses third-party mapping and routing data (currently Mapbox) and your device's GPS to generate route suggestions.

2. Not a safety device

The App is a driver-assistance tool, not a safety device. Route suggestions are based on automated analysis of map data and traffic information, which may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. You are solely responsible for:

• Operating your vehicle safely and lawfully
• Obeying all traffic signs, signals, and local laws
• Making your own judgment about which turns and routes are safe
• Keeping your attention on the road, not on the App

Do not interact with the App while driving. Pull over before entering destinations or reviewing routes.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

The App offers optional paid features through auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly and annual) and a one-time lifetime purchase, collectively "Pro."

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Payments. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store your payment information. Refunds are handled by Apple under its standard policies.

Pricing. Prices shown in the App may change. Renewals will use the price in effect at the time of renewal. We'll give you notice if prices change in a way that affects an active subscription.

Lifetime purchases. The lifetime option grants access to Pro features for the usable life of the App. We are not obligated to support the App indefinitely. If we discontinue the App, no refund is owed for the lifetime purchase after 90 days of use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code or API tokens from the App
• Use the App to violate any law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or third-party services the App uses
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or Pro access

5. Intellectual property

The App and its original content are owned by us. Map data, routing, and geocoding are provided by Mapbox and other third parties and are subject to their own licenses.

6. No warranty

The App is provided "as is." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of routes, and uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including traffic accidents, missed appointments, or incorrect routes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it and canceling any active subscription.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the App. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State], without regard to conflict of laws principles.
